Superman Returns

March 20, 2006: New Brandon Routh Interview

LatinoReview has published an interview with Brandon Routh. Here's part of the interview...

Q: The film runs around 2:30 - 2:45 hours long are you concerned at all about the length of the movie?

Routh: I don't think so. It moves pretty quickly. I saw a very early version of it and its changing all the time, but I was excited and I knew what was happening in the movie and I was so excited to see it but I don't think there is a problem (with the time), in fact I think its important to have as much as you can in the film as long as it keeps moving quickly because that's what people want, they want to see all that as much as they can.

Q: How is Kevin Spacey's portrayal of Lex Luthor different from Gene Hackman?

Routh: You know the biggest difference is just how sinister and real evil Lex is in this film. He doesn't hold any punches. He's a real bad guy, which is great because it just amps up the whole tension the whole film. The more evil the bad guy is the more in danger the world is, stakes are higher.
