Who's Who in the Superman Comics

Superman Family

The Superman Family is the unofficial name given to several heroes affiliated with the Man of Steel. Quite often, these heroes unite their forces to engage a common threat; in many cases, assisting Superman himself when the tasks are too great for Superman to handle alone. The Superman Family includes:

Superboy, or Kon-El - A super powered clone who was born after Superman seemingly died at the hands of Doomsday. Over time, Superboy has matured to become a major crimefighter and experienced protector.

Supergirl - Although Supergirl's appearance changes, she remains a younger, female version of the classic Superman. She shares his powers and continues to leave a lasting legacy on Earth.

Steel - Be it John Henry Irons or Natasha Irons, the persona of Steel is one of an armored human who fights for truth, justice, and the American way. Inspired by Superman, the Steel persona has been used by the Irons to assist the Man of Steel in any way possible, and also protect Metropolis and the cosmos from any evils that may harm the innocent.

Krypto the Superdog - A mutt from the planet Krypton, Krypto possesses super strength, the power of flight, and x-ray, heat, and microscopic visions. Devoted to his master Superman, Krypto will protect him any way he can.

There are other members of the Superman Family, two of them are journalists Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.
