Who's Who in the Superman Comics

Father Daniel Leone

Years ago, Daiel Leone was a regular guy. He even shared a passionate relationship with the fiery Lupe Teresa Leocadio-Escudero. Then, he traded it all away and became a priest. Now, Father Daniel Leone is the pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Metropolis. A devoted Christian and civic leader, Father Daniel Leone recently has established a relationship with Superman. A man of faith, Father Leone has become a guide to the Man of Steel - in light of the recent "Vanishing" wherein one million Earthlings have mysteriously disappeared.

This event has caused much unease among people. Superman, as with millions of others, has questioned the meaning of life. Unfortunately, like millions of others, Superman personally grieves because his own wife - Lois Lane - was part of those who have vanished. Father Leone has patiently listened to Superman's confessions. He has also aided the Last Son of Krypton in understanding the extremes of humanity. The two crusaders work together, not only out of mutual admiration, but also in an effort to understand the true meanings of faith, goodness, and hope. The ultimate goal is that both men will eventually understand the reasoning behind The Vanishing, and explore the true depths of what it takes to be a noble crusader for people.

It recently came to light that Father Leone had cancer. Mr Orr then healed him, but in return turned him into a kind of diabolical monster.
