Who's Who in the Superman Comics

Supergirl

Supergirl (Kara Zor-El)

Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) rocketed to Earth in a giant asteroid, presumably from the planet Krypton. Believed to be Superman's cousin, she bonded with Superman and the Amazons in her early days on the planet, adopting her identity as a hero and adapting to Earth life.

Darkseid kidnapped her and corrupted her, but she managed, through Superman's help, to break conditioning and return safely home. Batman remains distrustful of her, and remains suspect.

She currentl has her own ongoing title, and more questions about her past will surely be answered.

First Appearance: Superman/Batman #8 (May 2004)
