Baz and Jessica return from space still talking about her kiss with Batman when they realize the Watchtower is gone. Back on Earth Wonder Woman has been shot in the neck by a ricochet bullet off of Superman's chest. The race is on to save her life, when Flash takes her from Superman and rushes away to get help from Raven of the Titans.

Slade belittles a beaten Cyborg, saying, "You got played by the Red Lion. Never would have happened to Bats." The Lanterns reach Earth where the remains of the Watchtower lie in the sand, and wonder what they have stumbled into. Batman, Aquaman, and The Fan, teleport to where Cyborg is finishing up repairs. The group teleports to where the Red Lion is in the process of making demands to the United Nations, and sucker punch him.

The League meet back up and try to decide what steps to take next, when Deathstroke appears and kills The Fan with one bullet and says, "You don't have the stomach to do what needs to be done. So excuse me while I go solve your problems for you."

Next: And Now Deathstroke.

3Story - 3: One of the problems with comic books these days, is stories are written to be reprinted in trade format. This trend sometimes extends stories longer then they should be to satisfy that requirement. This issue felt like one of those stories that could have been told in a page or two. A couple of things about this issue, does anyone think Wonder Woman's life is truly in jeopardy? If not, then why prolong this part of the story another issue? Another thing, is Batman back on the main roster? Last I knew he was on a leave of absence pending an investigation of a murder he is accused of. Now he is bouncing around the planet with Aquaman.

2Art - 2: After the last issue, this was a huge disappointment. Pete Woods returns, and I am obviously not a fan of his style. I find him very inconsistent, sometimes in the same panel. I recently was reading another book with his art in it and it was a lot sharper and cleaner, not really sure what is going on here.

4Cover Art - 4: Solid cover, nice lighting, and a terrific picture of Superman holding Wonder Woman in his arms. The camera angle was also a very nice touch. Tough choice for the preferred cover this month.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: Another JG Jones masterpiece! If I have one complaint, I feel like this cover might be a better cover next issue when we will probably see Raven do more with healing Wonder Woman then what we got in this issue. That aside, the dull grays really make the purple of Raven's cape seem to pop off the page, and the island in the background (Themyscira?) is absolutely breathtaking. If you're not picking up these JG Jones covers, you're going to wish you had.
