October 2, 2005: Dana Reeve Doing Well
Dana Reeve, who was diagnosed with lung cancer 10 months after her husband Christopher's death, is doing great, People magazine reports.Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation board member and close friend Peter Kiernan said Reeve would be attending the foundation's black tie benefit November 17th in New York.
Reeve's initial prognosis was grim, but Kiernan told People doctors say her numbers look good and everything that's supposed to be shrinking is shrinking.
Actress Susan Sarandon says her friend sounds really good.
"She's in a great frame of mind", she said. "She's staying strong for (their 13-year-old son) Will. He's been through so much in such a short period of time."
