April 7, 2005: Branson Making Superman Cameo
News.com.au are reporting that Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson will make a cameo appearance in "Superman Returns".Sir Richard, who is friends with the film's director Bryan Singer, will film his short cameo today.
"Brian invited me to appear in the Superman film and he's using a Virgin Galactic airship in the film," Sir Richard told Channel 9's Today Show.
"I think today I'm going to be doing a fun little cameo role with my son Sam so it's going to be a good day."
But Sir Richard laughed and refused to give away too much when asked about reports the film's villain tries to shoot down the Virgin Galactic airship.
"I'm not allowed to say... we'll see whether it survives but I'm sure it will be all right."
