Lois and Clark Cast

December 4, 2001: "Lois & Clark" Re-Released on Video

Columbia House are re-releasing the original "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" VHS videos. These vidoes (of Season 1 episodes) were released to stores while the show was still on the air, but have been very hard to find since then.

Premiering in September of 1993, "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" was a witty, contemporary update of the comic book classic focusing on the Man of Steel's early adult years when his alter ego Clark Kent lived in Metropolis. A lavish undertaking, the series was filled with dazzling special effects and thrilling action sequences.

For four seasons, audiences journeyed along with the action-packed adventures as Superman battled his archvillain, the criminal mastermind Lex Luthor (John Shea), wooed the lovely Lois and held down a job as reporter Clark Kent for The Daily Planet newspaper. He was so busy, it's no wonder he had to travel faster than a speeding bullet!

Columbia House's offer gives you the introductory videocassette (2 episodes) for just US$4.95 plus shipping and handling when you subscribe. Subsequent volumes are US$19.95 each plus shipping and handling.

Visit the Columbia House "TV Greats" web page and click on the Sci-Fi section to locate the "Lois & Clark" videos. Also available are episodes of the 1950s TV series "The Adventures of Superman" starring George Reeves.
