January 22, 2001: A Petition to get Superman Animated Episodes on DVD
A petition has been organised by fans at 123 Petitions to try and persuade Warner Bros. to release "Superman: The Animated Series" on DVD. Here's how the petition reads: With the technology of DVD rapidly advancing this day and age, it's become apparant how popular it is to put episodes of classic TV shows onto DVD. THE NEW BATMAN/SUPERMAN ADVENTURES is a classic show, which deserves to be recognized on DVD format. WB Home Video has put only a small amount of Batman episodes and Superman episodes to VHS, leaving fans wanting more! This would be the ideal time to put the classic exploits of the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight onto the excellent DVD format.With 109 episodes of Batman and 54 episodes of Superman to choose from, WB would be well served to do this. With millions of fans all over North America and the world, these DVD sets would be a bonafide smash! The animated series are already a worldwide smash, as well as critically acclaimed, which is a rarity in this day and age. Feel free to visit the Petition page and add your name to the growing list.
