January 22, 2001: "Smallville" has its Clark Kent!
According to Hollywood Reporter, the role of 15 year old Clark Kent for the up-coming TV series "Smallville" has been cast. Newcomer, Tom Welling has landed the role of teenage Clark, dealing with his emerging powers prior to taking on the mantel of Superman. With the threat of industry strikes, word is that Warner Bros. is hoping to get production of the show underway as early as possible. 13 episodes have been ordered by the WBTV network, scheduled for September/October 2001.
