March 7, 2001: "Smallville" Cast Complete!
According to my inside source, casting for "Smallville" has been completed.Sam Jones III (who is set to star alongside Wesley Snipes in the up-coming movie "Zigzag") has landed the role of Pete Ross (close friend to both Clark Kent and Lana Lang).
Cynthia Ettinger has been chosen to play Martha Kent. Cynthia Ettinger's film credits include "Silence of the Lambs" and "The Effects of Magic". Her television credits include guest spots on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "Seinfeld" and "Sweet Justice."
Allison Mack, whose recent TV credits include "Opposite Sex", has been chosen in the role of Chloe Sullivan. Chloe is a friend of Clark's and Pete's. She used to live in Metropolis and dreams of getting out of Smallville to get back to the big city. A nosy little reporter, her father, Gabe, runs LUTHOR CORP's local fertilizer plant that Lionel Luthor (Lex's father) bought from the Ross family when it was a cream corn factory years ago.
