July 21, 2001: "Smallville" Television Commercial
Michael Loveland (Miqque On The Web) sent in another report informing us of (what appears to be) the first airing of a commercial for the up-coming TV show "Smallville".At 6pm PDT on Friday July 21st, the WB ran a "Smallville" commercial. Michael says, "It starts off very Sleepy Hollow, shadowed female figure moving right-to-left in a very spooky-looking area. Girl, frightened (revealed as Lana) "W-who's there?" when a footstep DESCENDS on a branch, cracking it. Full shot (moonlit) of Tom Welling. "It's me. Clark." Fade to Smallville logo (very Superman-cover-logo-ish, of a hammered gold/brass appearance)."
The commercial runs for approx. 15-20 seconds.
