October 2, 2001: Superman... The Weakest Link?
Dean Cain (Superman in the "Lois and Clark" TV series) appeared as a contestant on the U.S. version of "The Weakest Link". The special celebrity edition of NBC's "Weakest Link" aired on Sunday night, September 30th. All winnings were donated to the New York World Trade Center Disaster Relief Fund.Also appearing on the game show were Jamie Kennedy, Jay Mohr, Teri Garr, Shemar Moore, ER's Paul Crane, Michael Rapaport and Alexandra Wentworth.
While not the ultimate winner, Dean Cain managed to make it as one of the final contestants... along with Paul Crane and Teri Garr. Teri went on to win. However here's an interesting bit of trivia about the three final contestants that many fans might not know... Paul Crane appeared as the character "Chaos" in the "To Be Human" 2-part episode of the live-action Superboy TV series, while Teri Garr played the mother of Batman's alter-ego Terry McGinnis in the Warner Bros. "Batman Beyond" animated series.
