June 18, 2001: "Smallville" Tid-Bits
According to Kryptonsite, Cynthia Ettinger has been released from her role as Martha Kent from the up-coming TV show "Smallville". No word yet who will be taking over the role of Clark Kent's adopted mother, or whether this was the choice of the producers or Ms. Ettinger herself. It is also unknown at this stage if Ms. Ettinger's scenes in the pilot episode will be re-shot or left as is.In other "Smallville" news, confirmation that the show will continue to be shot in Vancouver, Canada when filming resumes in July.
For Australian fans, confirmation from the Nine Network that they have picked up "Smallville" and look likely to air the series in early 2002.
