The dark mage Mordru and the Horraz have awakened Rogol Zaar from his thousand year sleep. Now, Rogol Zaar is attacking New Krypton and fighting Jon Kent and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Rogol believes he is battling a children's club, but both he and/or the Legion may have bitten off more than they can chew. Whoever is victorious could change the fate of the universe in the 31st century and beyond.

Mon-El has arrived to help Jon and the Legion combat Rogol Zaar while White Witch confronts her father Mordru. Doctor Fate joins the fray and banishes Mordru while Zod sends Rogol Zaar to the Phantom Zone. All is well once again in spite of Brainiac-5 revealing to Gold Lantern that his ring wasn't given to him by the Guardians of the Universe of Oa. On top of that, Rogol Zaar's attack was not the great darkness that the Legion believed it to be.

5Story - 5: Millennium mini-series aside, (that's still a convoluted mess as of this writing.) Bendis' Legion has been a great series and a fun read. This issue paves the way for the future of the Legion, the "Future State" books and possibly the DC Universe. I stated in my Action Comics reviews that I'll miss Bendis on Superman's comics, and that includes this one. I hope that Jon and the Legion's adventures continue long after "Future State," and even if they don't, it's been a joy to read their books, including this one. Long live the Legion.

5Art - 5: In general, the art on this series has been well done if you exclude a couple issues here and there. This one continues to have solid images to accompany the story.

4Cover Art - 4: The logo and the blurb distract too much from what is, in itself, a well drawn cover image that gives buyers and readers a sensation of intense drama and action is coming.

2Variant Cover Art - 2: The art on this variant isn't bad. In fact, it's rather good. The coloring completely ruins the entire finished product.
