September 20, 2001: DC Poster Salutes September 11th Heroes
In honor of the heroic efforts made by so many following last week's tragic events, DC Comics provides retailers with a free poster featuring classic SUPERMAN art and the headline "We Salute America's Heroes."The 4-color, 22" x 34" poster features art by Fred Ray from the cover to SUPERMAN #14 (January-February 1942). Retailers are encouraged to display the poster prominently.
The poster is scheduled to arrive in stores early in October. DC Comics will provide a more specific date as soon as details are worked out.
In other DC Coimics news, as part of DC's commitment to retailers and readers alike, selected items go back to press when quantities become low. SUPERMAN: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE MAN OF TOMORROW? (STAR13842) has been reprinted (3rd printing) and is available for order.
