Superman/Tarzan #1

July 31, 2001: Superman/Tarzan: Sons of the Jungle

Dark Horse Comics are publishing a 3-part miniseries titled "Superman/Tarzan: Sons of the Jungle" which is written by Chuck Dixon, with internal art by Carlos Meglia and Dave Stewart, and cover art by Humberto Ramos.

A tiny space-pod rocketing from a doomed, little-known world crash-lands in mysterious East Africa, interrupting a vicious mutiny off the jungle coast. Who would know that this single anomalous event would disrupt the known course of time and space and set the lives of two legendary heroes on very different paths. Orphaned Kal-El, last survivor of Krypton, is raised by apes to become the mighty Lord of the Jungle. John Greystoke, heir to fortune and privilege, becomes an adventuring wastrel draped in luxury, but not fulfillment. Now fate will draw them together in unexpected ways at the mythical lost city of Opar. Here each man will face great danger... and discover his true destiny!

The first issue goes on sale October 17. The three issue 32 page full-color comics are priced at US$2.99 each.
