September 12, 2001: DC Comics Offices Safe

DC Comics has issued the following statement regarding their status following Tuesday's terrorist attack in New York, as well as their operations as they currently stand:

"Like everyone who works and lives and around New York City, DC staffers are all quite shaken and are taking comfort in the good wishes of our friends and colleagues around the world.

Fortunately, our offices are far enough from the World Trade Center and are safe. Like many of you, we experienced excruciating worry on Tuesday about friends and family, and commutes home that were beyond challenging. Today, we're taking the guidance of the city and most -- if not all -- of the DC staff is staying home.

Thanks to email access and our colleagues at WildStorm, Diamond, Quebecor, and our freelance community, we continue with the business of publishing comics and expect to be fully operational as soon as possible. But most important, our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those missing , hurt and lost."
