July 1, 2007: “Legion of Doom” Show at Six Flags
Six Flags New England is putting on a "Legion of Doom" live-action performance this summer, featuring Lex Luthor, Sinestro, Cheetah, Captain Cold, Riddler and the Joker. Brandon T. Snider wrote the dialogue for the SuperFriends villains in this show, and spoke with The Pulse. Here's an excerpt from the interview...
- Q: What's the show about? I mean, you just mentioned the Legion of Doom, is it all villains or do our favorite heroes come in to save the day?
SNIDER: This is 100% Legion of Doom, baby. Check your justice at the door!
The show begins as Lex Luthor is being escorted to jail by the authorities as well as a rather curious reporter who has shown up to get the scoop on Luthor's downfall. But all is not what it seems as the Legion of Doom ambushes them, revealing that they've given up their life of crime for the straight and narrow. I know what you're thinking...how can they convince the world they've reformed by taking hostages? But this is the Legion of Doom after all. I don't want to give anything away, but let's face it, they're their own worst enemies. Plus, the Joker is insane. If you want an operation to run smoothly, don't invite the Joker.
As for the Justice League...their presence is felt but they don't make a formal appearance. But don't fret because they do have their own show, which I'm sure is full of super heroics.
