Superman Rotor Watch

March 20, 2007: Fossil's Superman Rotor Watch Review

Fossil's latest Superman watch arrived on my door a few days ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by how stylish the watch is.

Fossil never fail to impress me with the packaging of their watches. The Superman Rotor watch comes encased within a redwood-style timber box that opens to reveal the watch sitting on a burgundy pillow.

The watch is well suited for fans who want something that states that they're a Superman fan yet also looks smart and can be worn for every day use as well as more formal occasions. The stainless steel bracelet and dial casing surround the silver embossed Superman logo, which itself is centered within a circle of clear glass. The back of the watch itself is also clear glass through which you can see the Superman "S" shield which rotates around within the inner workings of the time piece.

Apparently the rotating "S" shield actually acts as a kinetic battery, keeping the watch running using the natural movement of your arm to power the watch. While this means you'll never have to replace a battery, you will need to re-set the time if the watch remains stationary for an extended period of time. When full wound the watch does retain a power reserve of around 38 hours.

Limited to a run of 2000 pieces, the Fossil Superman Rotor watch carries a RRP of US$160.00, and is available to order now.

Fossil also have a range of other Superhero watches in their Collectibles range, including Supergirl, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern.
