October 12, 2007: Hallmark Release Two Superman Christmas Tree Ornaments

Review by Ron Zaguli

Look! Up on the tree! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's SUPERMAN!!

Out in Hallmark stores this week and available online are two new sensational Superman ornaments. I just got mine yesterday and have to say - they're fantastic!

The first is called "Just Like Superman!" and is made of fabric and metal and measures 5" wide by 3 1/2" high. The famous S is visible beneath Clark Kent's shirt and jacket - all hung up on a hanger and ready for action. The ornament comes in a nice gift box and sells for $12.50 USD. A companion piece with Wonder Woman's costume is also available.

Ornament The second is called "Quick-Change Artist" by Hallmark Keepsake Artist Lane Feuer and measures 3 3/4" wide by 4 1/2" high. This is a very clever presentation and will be a sure hit with Superman fans. With the right door closed, the ornament displays Clark entering the phone booth on the left ripping open his shirt to start his transformation. Close the left door and the right door opens to show the Man of Steel flying off to save the day. "Quick-Change Artist" is priced at $16.50 USD and also comes in a nice gift box with a description on the back of Superman's journey from Krypton to Earth and his early years.

I'm a picky collector and am extremely pleased with these products. The details are very nice and the facial painting (an area of particular concern in some items recently) is extremely well done. Both ornaments will be sensational additions to your Superman collections.
