January 25, 2007: Superman Rollercoaster Voted Best in the World
Six Flags New England "Superman: Ride of Steel" has been voted the No. 1 steel rollercoaster in the world in 2006.This is the sixth year in a row that the rollercoaster has been featured in either of the top two spots in the annual poll.
Four of the top 20 steel rollercoasters were in fact Superman rides, with "Superman: Ride of Steel" at Six Flags America, Baltimore/Washington coming in at 12th position, "Superman: Ride of Steel" at Six Flags Darien Lake, Buffalo coming in at 15th position, and the "Superman Escape" ride at Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia taking out the 16th spot on the list.
In total, there were 10 Superman rollercoasters listed in the top 200 rollercoasters.
