February 8, 2008: James Robinson is the New Superman Writer

With Kurt Busiek leaving as writer of "Superman" to take on a new exciting project, fans have wondered who would be taking over the reigns of writer for the title.

DC Comics confirmed today that James Robinson is the new writer for "Superman".

For those not familiar with his work, Robinson has worked on numerous titles, such as "Golden Age", "Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight", "Cable", and "Starman".

Geoff Johns told Newsarama.com, "I have a great relationship with him, he's one of my favorite writers of all time."

Renato Guedes remains as artist on the title.
