February 22, 2008: Geoff Johns Talks About the Future of Superman

WizardUniverse.com has interviewed "Action Comics" writer Geoff Johns to ask him about teaming up with James Robinson and how "Action" and "Superman" will tie together for a big summer for Superman. Here's a part of the interview...

So, what's the real goal of the team-up?

The whole goal is to hopefully bring the level of intensity and energy and excitement to Action Comics and Superman as we managed to do with Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps.

Is this going to be to be a trilogy like you did with Green Lantern?

No, this is going to be straight out BAM! here we are. Here's a huge, huge story with little stories in between, among the bigger story.

I know you can't say too much about the story coming up, but how about a taste?

Well, Brainiac and Atlas are the two big stories, and that's where I hope anyone who is not picking up the books now, they'll give it a shot. June is kind of our Superman month because it's when we both start our arcs and that's when we both start moving toward the same final destination.

Can you give any hint at all where this might be going?

It's the greatest triumph and the greatest tragedy in Superman's life. That's where it's going.
