January 7, 2008: Wizard Previews Superman and JLA Comics for 2008
WizardUniverse.com has posted two articles previewing what's ahead for Superman and Justice League of America comics in 2008.
Superman:
- "Brainiac's going to be f---ing frightening," admits Johns of the villain he'll revamp mid-year. "He's going to be as cool and as scary and powerful as Sinestro and on a whole different level." In Superman, watch for an all-new Insect Queen to buzz onto the scene, after which Busiek will re-introduce Paragon, a one-off JLA baddie he first created back in 1984's Justice League of America #224.
- You could draw the conclusion that former "Justice League Unlimited" producer McDuffie adapted the vision of the show to his comic run. Not so, he says. "The characters [in the comic versus the animated series] are completely different, so there's no story fragment that I had lying around that makes sense with these guys."
