Trinity #1

June 24, 2003: “Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman: Trinity #1” Sold Out

Just one day after its in-store date of June 18, the premiere issue of BATMAN/SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN: TRINITY is sold out at DC Comics. This spectacular, 3-issue Prestige Format miniseries is written and illustrated by Matt Wagner and tells the story of the first meeting between DC's three greatest super-heroes.

"What an awesome thrill! If fans have responded this strongly to the first issue, then I can't wait to see how they react to the remaining chapters," says Wagner. "The story only gets bigger and better as the three components of the Trinity draw closer together, ultimately creating a bond that is so much greater than the three separate heroes! It's incredibly gratifying when an artist strikes such a common chord with his audience."

"I couldn't be happier working with one of my best friends in or out of comics," says DC Group Editor Bob Schreck. "This immediate reaction from the fans is just the icing on the cake. And I have to add that what Dave Stewart has done on this project in terms of coloring is nothing short of magnificent."

Please note that DC has no plans at this time to go back to press on this issue.

"The combination of Matt Wagner's extraordinary storytelling and this powerful, untold story has enormous appeal to comics readers," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP Sales & Marketing. "We urge retailers to increase their orders on the remaining two issues while they can."
