Superman/Batman #1

October 16, 2003: DC Sends “Superman/Batman #1” Back to Press

Two of the DCU's hottest premiere issues have been sent back to press for new printings. TEEN TITANS #1 Fourth Printing and SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Third Printing are both available for order now and are scheduled to arrive in stores on November 5.

TEEN TITANS #1 Fourth Printing features an alternate version of Michael Turner's cover from this issue, presenting Turner's original pencils without inking or coloring.

"Fantastic news! I couldn't be prouder of this book and I couldn't be happier at DC," says writer Geoff Johns. "The momentum the DCU has been gaining these last few months is just the beginning. A big thanks to the Titans fans, both new and old!"

SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Third Printing features a never-before-published cover by Ed McGuinness.

"I'm incredibly proud of the success this title," says writer Jeph Loeb. "Launching a new Superman or Batman book is daunting enough, but putting them together was going to be a recipe for either disaster or success. Obviously, I'm loving the latter. I hope readers who are just picking up #3 have a chance to grab this first issue (and #2 as well). Big props go out to the entire team, but in particular all the retailers who continue to support the book, not just by ordering it, but by telling their customers it's a fun read. All that and a new McGuinness cover, too!"

"I'm floored," says penciller Ed McGuinness. "I've never been on a book that's this successful. It's been a lot of fun!"

"We're happy to help retailers sustain the momentum on both these series," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP Sales & Marketing. "We'd also like to thank those retailers whose feedback demonstrated that the demand for these issues continues unabated."

TEEN TITANS #1 Fourth Printing is available for order now with an order increase cut-off date of Sunday, October 26. This issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on November 5 with a cover price of $2.50 U.S.

SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Third Printing is available for order now with an order increase cut-off date of Sunday, October 26. It is scheduled to arrive in stores on November 5 with a cover price of $2.95 U.S.
