March 15, 2003: Jason Hall Talks “Justice League Adventures #20”
Toon Zone was able to talk to Jason Hall, writer of Justice League Adventures #20, coming in June. The issue, with artwork by Rick Burchett, will introduce a new villian to the animated continuity. Here's an excerpt from thr interview..."I think this is a Justice League Adventures story that's really going to get the fans talking!" said Hall. "The Psycho Pirate is a very compelling character in general, and it was exciting to create an 'animated universe' version of him. I think I've added a very compelling, yet tragic, side to his character -- and one that logically fits with the idea of him being able to control emotions and why he would be obsessed with doing so."
Not only will this issue provide a suitable adversary for the League, it will also give an in-depth look at its members.
"Just wait until you see what the Jusice League really think of each other!" said Hall. "In addition, This story has got some very brief cameos -- though not in the traditional sense -- by some characters that everyone probably thought they'd never see in the animated universe. How's that for a teaser?!"
