Fear has come to the Justice League of America, and each member deals with their inner trepidations without success, until Green Lantern expels the force that plagues the team.

2Story - 2: I usually like to compose reviews as opposed to writing them. Read the book, think about it, read it again, contemplate further, all the while sketching out my criticisms mentally, until they're ready to be rendered. However, this issue required none of that methodology. The League acts out of character due to an as yet undefined force, that is defeated and made irrelevant as the macguffin it is. The most egregious scene, unfortunately, is with Superman and Batman, as while the other Leaguers' fears are plausible, neither Batman or Superman's is. That Superman would have this borderline erotic need for Batman's approval, and Batman would wallow in self-pity... neither are fears, per se, more ataque de nervios waiting to happen. Hitch needs help. The stories are there, but they seem to be more than he can balance for an established artist, but nascent writer. I'm still rooting for the series, but something needs to bring this book back to the promise it showed early on.

4Art - 4: Merino returns a steady hand to the title, with bust-like renderings of Wonder Woman and Aquaman, while channeling Alan Davis with Barry and Jessica.
