February 1, 2012: Superman Tribute Fence Repaired
In May 2011 a drunk driver crashed through the ornamental fence that surrounds the site of Joe Shuster's former home in Cleveland, Ohio, damaging metal plates that tell the Superman story as it began in 1938.
Seven of the fifteen plates were damaged in the accident and now have all been repaired and replaced. The fence at the corner of Amor and Parkwood avenues in Glenville, was originally created and installed by the Glenville Development Corporation and the Siegel and Shuster Society.
