September 27, 2012: Work Progresses on Metropolis Massac Theatre

Restoration work on the dilapidated Massac Theatre in Metropolis, Illinois continues. Owner Larry Ward (Noel Neill's manager) and the "Save the Massac" group's first job was to give the building a new roof. With that completed, they're now concentrating on the theatre's facade.

"Our next step is to make the outside pretty so that it gets the community really excited," said Gower.

The group is in charge of fixing the marquee sign and adding lights around the front to make the building shine again, all while the construction continues inside.

"We literally get to see it being rebuilt from the ground up," said Gower.
