October 2, 2012: Top Tips to Become the Supergirl of Halloween

What female wouldn't want to be Supergirl for Halloween? She is powerful, knowledgeable, possesses youthful looks and has had some incredible outfits. We have come across quite a few Supergirls in our comic book time and with so many versions cropping up, there are many ways for you to emulate Kara Zor-El's look for Halloween.
Looking at allfancydress.com we have come across six costumes that all boast the American colors of blue, red and white, but all differentiate in style. This is perfect if you want to find an outfit that will look like Helen Slater's or Laura Vandervoort's costumes.
Before Vandervoort's debut as Superman's cousin, comic book fans have only been introduced to one other Supergirl on either the big or small screen, Helen Slater. Although there have been rumors circulating that a reboot of the film is set to come our way with Amber Heard as Kara, the original has always been the film that fans return to.
Okay, the film may have been released 28 years ago, but Slater is, in our opinion, the best Supergirl to have appeared on our screens. Her costume is a classic and if you're looking for an authentic carbon copy you won't be disappointed in All Fancy Dress' Supergirl Outfit - the high neck, the short dipped hem skirt, yellow belt, red cape and of course the emblem has all been reworked into this costume.
However, if you're searching for something a little more updated and you're a fan of Smallville, the midriff bearing Supergirl Costume might be right up your street. Unfortunately the abs doesn't come with this outfit, but it does make for a terrific ensemble if it's a sexy Halloween look you're after.
If you're excited about the possibility of Amber Heard becoming the next Supergirl you're sure to have been searching YouTube for a glimpse of what her costume may look like. There are many Supergirl costumes available, but if we could be certain about one thing it is that you can never beat the original.
All you need to do now is back-comb a quiff as if you have just flown into the party and you're sure to become the Supergirl of Halloween.
