February 23, 2004: “Justice League” Season Finale Airs in France First

According to the International Rumor Mill, Part one of the season finale of JUSTICE LEAGUE's sophomore season aired in France last week, though its American debut isn't scheduled until this summer.

Spoiler warning! The following description contains some details about the episode, so stop reading now if you'd rather not read details about the episode's plot...

"Starcrossed", the three part season finale, features the debut of a "Hawkman" and reveals some heretofore essentially missing details from Hawkgirl's past.

The storyline apparently leads directly to the change in title and focus for the show next season to "Justice League Unlimited" as the League throws its membership doors wide open to the animated versions of lots more of DC's vast inventory of super-heroes (including, confirmed so far, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Atom, the Question, Hawk and Dove, the Atom (whose secret identity, Ray Palmer, factored into a sideplot of the episode "Hereafter"), Firestorm, and the Red Tornado).
