April 18, 2004: Alex Ross Draws Tom Welling as Superman
Fans of the TV show "Smallville" have long speculated over the chances of Tom Welling being cast as Superman in the up-coming Superman movie. While the actor himself has personally ruled out the possibility, fan-favorite artist Alex Ross hasn't let the dream die, he's created two pencil drawings depicting the "Smallville" star as Superman, which have since been released on SuperHeroHype.Alex Ross' drawings were not created for Warner Bros, they were created purely for Alex to see what Welling might look like were he to don the famous costume.
