May 9, 2004: “Justice League” Season 2 Finale Airing May 29

Cartoon Network announced Friday morning that it will be airing the Justice League "Starcrossed" season 2 finale earlier than expected.

The network has revised its May schedule and will air the three-part episode on Saturday, May 29 at 7:30pm in the U.S.

The episode leads into the third season, renamed Justice League Unlimited.

As part of the Warner Bros. Animation panel last weekend at WonderCon in San Francisco, producer Bruce Timm previewed the first part of "Starcrossed." The DVD version, at least, will contain a special opening title sequence, featuring the creators' and cast members' names.

The episode was written by Rich Fogel, Dwayne McDuffie and John Ridley, from a story by Fogel. It was directed by Butch Lukic and Dan Riba.

Justice League: Starcrossed will be released on DVD on July 13.

In further "Justice League" news, the Cartoon Network have announced that "Justice League Unlimited" will launch on August 7th.
