June 17, 2004: New George Reeves Book Announced

On January 5th, 2004, George Reeves would have celebrated his 90th birthday. Yesterday, June 16, his fans mourned his passing. It's been forty-five years since our hero left the planet. He graced the world both as Superman and George Reeves the actor.

It was announced yesterday that a new book about George has been completed. Behind the Crimson Cape (The Cinema of George Reeves) by Jan Alan Henderson and Steve Randisi, is a book dedicated to George's motion picture career. Delving into his films in detail and with 300 rare, never-before-seen photographs, this could be the George Reeves companion all his fans have been waiting for.

The text is complete, and the graphics are in their final stages. This volume will feature artwork by world-renowned artist Larry Byrd, and will be released by Bifulco Books in late fall of 2004.

This will be a limited edition of 1,000 copies, and will be sold only online.
