April 6, 2004: Noel Neill Talks Superman Comics, DVDs and More

The Daily Planet Online fan website has conducted a short interview with Noel Neill, the original Lois Lane. Here's an excerpt from the interview...

Q: Do you have any memorabilia from the show that you kept to remind you of those days working on the set of Superman?

A: Unfortunately, I don't think I held onto anything from the show - I couldn't even find any of my old suits!

Q: Because your role of Lois Lane was so popular when it aired, did anyone ever talk about doing a comic book strip illustrated to your likeness and the likeness of the other characters of the show?

A: Well, there were Lois Lane comic books, and Jimmy Olsen comics that came out after and during the show's run. But I'm not sure if the illustrators tried to make the characters look like us, or if we tried to look like the illustrated characters. All I know is that it all seemed to work out.

Q: Now that Warner Brothers has finally confirmed that they will release the "Adventures of Superman" on DVD, fan response to this news has been extremely positive. Will you be assisting Warner Brothers in anyway, like doing a special introduction about the show?

A: It would be nice to be involved in the DVD project, but as of this writing, Warner Brothers has not contacted me about participating. It sounds pretty exciting, so I probably would do it if I was asked.
