Justice League Unlimited

July 28, 2004: “Justice League Unlimited” Premiere Reminder

A quick reminder that Justice League Unlimited, the new version of Cartoon Network's Justice League animated series, premieres this Saturday in the U.S. at 8:30pm with the episode titled "Initiation".

Written by Stan Berkowitz and directed by Joaquim dos Santos, this episode doesn't waste any time showing us how much the League has grown, with dozens of characters. The story focuses on Green Lantern, Supergirl, Captain Atom and Green Arrow, using Green Arrow's point of view as the newest member.

"There's so many characters in the DC Universe we never had a chance to use, like Green Arrow, the Atom and Black Canary," producer Bruce Timm said last weekend at Comic-Con International. "I don't know how many more episodes of Justice League we're going to get, so this was the time to do it."
