After completing their mission the attacking Dominators leave planet Dragoi. In spite of Conner's intervention, the victorious Dominators get away clean because the Cosmoteers are attacking Superboy and not them.
The Cosmoteers are a group of superpowered aliens with a grudge against Dominator X. It quickly becomes clear to Conner that the Cosmoteers, while not with the Dominators, are still a threat to the Dragoians. They mistake Conner for a clone of Dominator X and attack him in spite of the natives of Dragoi protesting in support of Superboy.
Their assault of Superboy is broken off by the attack of an actual clone of Dominator X. While defeating the clone, not only do the Cosmoteers almost kill a group of Dragoians they capture Conner even after he successfully saves the Dragoians. On board their ship Conner is being held prisoner. After waking up, the Cosmteers explain their origins to Conner. They also inform Conner that they are taking the attack to the Dominator X and are currently in the process of engaging the Khund fleet and the Dominator X spaceship/research lab.
Story - 3: Coming off the setup from the first issue there is a natural stepback in the plot progression. The story is still good even with this slow down. Superboy is in space fighting a rogue Dominator who is creating clones and muted super soldiers to sell to the highest bidder. Dominator X created the Cosmoteers using Daxamite, Imaskian, and Xuardian DNA to bioengineer warriors. They rebelled and are now looking to free every clone and experiment on Dominator X. Having origins as cloned weapons they lack subtlety and in some cases as we see in this issue, will kill Dominator X's experiments as well as innocent bystanders alike.
Art - 3: Same art, same artist as the first issue. Again a very cartoony style; from Conner's hair to the design of the Cosmoteers. Lindsay is inspired by the art design from anime.
Cover Art - 4: Good art, okay cover. Superboy being smashed by Pira, one of the Cosmoteers.
Variant Cover Art - 3: Good art, but I don't like the layout.
1:25 Variant Cover Art - 3: This cover is better than it deserves to be. I like it the best of the three covers.
