June 9, 2004: Tom Welling NOT Testing for Superman Movie
You may have read rumors posted on other sites regarding actors screen testing this week for the lead role in the up-coming Superman movie.Superman-V.com claim that they have it on good authority that six actors will be going in this week to test for the role of Superman. Amongst their list is Hanry Cavill, Jason Behr (Roswell) and Jared Padalecki (Gilmore Girls).
Following up on this report, Dark Horizons posted a report from a scooper who claims to back-up the Superman-V.com report and chimed in that Tom Welling was another name amongst the six actors trying out for the role...
Well the Superman Homepage can tell you exclusively that Tom Welling is NOT trying out for the role of Superman. Our source? None other than "Smallville" Executive Producer Al Gough.
