July 15, 2013: Shuster Fence Repairs Require Fan Contributions

Fence Last month the fence around Joe Shuster's old home, which displays large panels from "Action Comics #1", was destroyed by a drunk driver, who ran off the road and plowed through the comic book fence. Now the Siegel and Shuster Society are reaching out to fans and locals to raise funds to repair the fence, and hopefully put up a barricade to stop this from happening again (as this is the second time it's happened).

Comic book scenes from the first issue hang on the fence. Only some of them are in display right now. That's because a drunk driver knocked over the fence last month, taking down with it, some of the posters. The second time something like that's happened in the past two years.

Goldie hopes to put them back up, but she can't do that without public support. She's seeking donations to help with the construction. She said 100% of the donations will benefit the site.
