July 29, 2007: SDCC News - “DC: New Worlds Order” Panel

The "DC: New Worlds Order" panel saw Dan Didio lead a panel that consisted of Bob Wayne, Dan Didio, Gail Simone, Jimmy Palmiotti, Paul Dini, Greg Rucka, Dwayne McDuffie, Kurt Busiek, Mike Carlin, Coordinating editor Jann Jones, Eddie Berganza, Nicola Scott, Tony Bedard, Adam Beechen, Sean McKeever, Justin Gray, Dan Jurgens, Carlos Pacheco, Ivan Reis, Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison (who arrived very late).

A fan thinking that Superman should be more proactive (using the example of Amazons Attack accused him of being a "wimp." Busiek replied with, "I think you can wait and see how the story develops. If Superman's not active enough in Amazon Attacks, try Action Comics or Superman." The fan didn't seem satisfied.

Someone curious about the whereabouts of Krypto was met with the response "It's clear we've been asked all the good questions already." Carlin joked "That's why he [Superman] hasn't been in Amazons Attack, he's looking for Krypto." Busiek said Krypto will show up in "two weeks" and "two weeks later" you'll find out why Superman hasn't been able to find him.

Geoff Johns revealed that Superman will be going into the future to visit the Legion of Super-Heroes, and equated it to revisiting people you knew in high school and seeing that they've changed in unexpected ways. While Kurt Busiek then plugged some Superman happenings, saying that the "third Kryptonian" mystery will be revealed.
