October 12, 2007: Eric Powell Talks About Drawing Superman

The Pulse caught up with artist Eric Powell to ask him about his work on "Action Comics". Here's an excerpt from the interview...

Q: Almost every artist I know dreams someday of getting the chance to draw either Superman or Batman. How long have you thought about getting the chance to play in the Man of Steel's world?

ERIC POWELL: Since... forever. He was my favorite when I was a tiny kid. I use to draw him all the time. My grandma saved some of my drawings from those days and gave them to me a couple of years ago. And apparently I thought Superman's job was to save airplanes that got hit by lightning. Because that's what was in every drawing. Superman flying and a plane being struck by lightning in the background.
