July 29, 2007: “All Star Superman” Wins Eisner Award

The winners of the 2007 Eisner Awards were announced on Friday, July 24, at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2007, with DC Comics projects and creators taking home 14 awards - more than any other publisher.

"All Star Superman" by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely won the "Best Continuing Series" award.

Other notable Superman-related winners were Dave Stewart who won the "Best Coloring" award for his work on "Action Comics" and "Superman" comics; and "Absolute DC: The New Frontier" by Darwin Cooke which won both the "Best Graphic Album-Reprint" and "Best Publication Design" awards.

Legendary artist Wayne Boring was voted into the Hall of Fame.
