August 23, 2000: DC Comics Featured in Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone this Week!

Lex Luthor's presidential campaign caught the attention of both Newsweek and Time magazines this week. Both news magazines featured articles on the Metropolis mogul's reach for the Oval office with his "Tomorrow Party". Luthor's strengths, provided by Time, include a "keen understanding of world domination".

Rolling Stone's September 14 "Hot Issue" names Warren Ellis as "Hot Comic Book Writer," saying he's "dragging the genre kicking and screaming into the twenty-first century... more influenced by the Jesus and Mary Chain than the Justice League." Also featured on the cover of the "Hot Issue" is a cover blurb about the "Hot Defection" interview with Stan Lee regarding the JUST IMAGINE STAN LEE CREATING... project as well as showing Lee's designs for his take on Superman.
