January 21, 2000: Schultz on Man of Steel's Milestone

In March Superman: The Man of Steel reaches the #100 milestone, celebrating the occasion with a double-sized issue. Pleased about the work he's doing, writer Mark Schultz had this to say about the book.

"My best story so far, I think, and Doug Mahnke's best art. He really put a lot into this one -- if you're a fan of Reed Richards-type techno-gizmos, this one's got them wall to wall. Also lots of inter-dimensional action and a cast of thousands. I got to rebuild a new Fortress of Solitude! What could be cooler?"

Steel guest-stars in this issue, and returning to do his worst is the Cyborg Superman.

"Superman continues to come along swimmingly," Schultz remarked. "All the new creative teams have been fun to work with, and I like Eddie Berganza as an editor.
