June 19, 2000: Great Caesar's ghost, Lex Luthor is running for President!
Although some believe the self-made billionaire to be Superman's arch-enemy, Luthor is presently riding high on the crest of popular support, being seen not only as the man who saved Metropolis, but Gotham City, as well. One of the wealthiest men on earth, Luthor has no political experience, but will instead rely on his experience as a captain of industry.Luthor has declared himself as part of the "Tomorrow Party." In a statement to the press, he notes, "I stand before you a candidate of not the Republicans or Democrats, not the conservatives or independents, for their world view is too narrow...antiquated and outmoded."
