June 22, 2008: Margot Kidder to Speak Out on Mental Health
Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the Superman movies alongside Christopher Reeve, will be the special guest speaker at forum about mental illness in Canada on Monday night.
- The York Region Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is presenting Shake it up! Breaking the Silence with Ms Kidder as the featured guest speaker.
Famous for playing Superman's love interest Lois Lane in the original Superman movies, the Canadian born actress had a breakdown in 1996, which she said was a result of suffering from manic depression.
The 59-year-old actress has since dealt with her illness, finding ways to keep it in check.
