July 18, 2004: Superman TV and Movie Props on Auction at Cooper Owen
Cooper Owen are running another "At the Movies" auction on the 28th July which features the following Superman television and movie items:- #247
A prop club from the TV series 'The Adventures of Superman', 1954
An original prop club, believed to be from an episode called Superman and the Jungle Devil, comprising a Styrofoam painted length with 'carved' tribal motifs.
Measures approx. 42 inch. (107 cm) in length.
The vendor acquired the prop from an associate in Arizona who originally purchased it from Si Simonson, an effects operative on the series. The lot is accompanied by a facsimile letter of authenticity.
