Superman Pop Art Watch

November 22, 2004: Fossil Releases New Superman “Pop Art” Watch

Fossil have released a new Superman watch called "Superman: Pop Art".

The watch comes packaged in a stylish pale blue box with the "S" logo on the front. Within is another box on which there's a Silver Age image of Clark Kent ripping open his shirt within the privacy of the Daily Planet storeroom, revealing his Superman costume underneath.

The top lifts off to reveal a red felt-lined interior. The inside of the lid has a display card which features the Daily Planet staff (Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Perry White and Clark Kent). On the back of the display card is the Certificate of Authenticity.

The watch sits revealed on a cardboard base depicting Superman breaking through a brick wall.

The stylish watch is magnificent to behold. The photos displayed here don't do the watch justice. The "S" shield is an embossed glossy silver, relieved by a red base layer that acts as a border to the logo. The digits positioned for each hour are made of a glossy silver as well, with red and blue second markers interspersed around the face.

Limited to only 2000 watches, this "Superman: Pop Art" watch is a must for any serious collector of the Man of Steel.

Priced at only US$105, this Fossil watch would make an excellent Christmas gift for yourself or for that certain Superman or Supergirl in your life. That's right! This watch is available in a ladies version too!
